PDCHEA PURPOSE:

To encourage, to support, to pray for, and to help equip Christian parents who choose to provide for their children's education at home under one of the three options provided by South Carolina state homeschool law and who do so without public funding.  To also promote a positive attitude toward homeschooling in the community.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the Lord is one!  You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Deuteronomy 6:4-7

Our STATEMENT OF FAITH:

We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.  The Bible, in its original autograph, is without error in whole and in part, including theological details.

God has existed from all eternity in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  Jesus Christ was God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man, except without sin.

The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man's sin through His substitutionary death on the cross--the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection.

Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner.  This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.

God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society.  It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption.  Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime.
